CNC machined parts and kits for the Tamiya M-chassis platform

Full Option upgrade kits for Tamiya M-chassis
These kits give greatly increased performance and increase the choice of bodies that fit the chassis.  Looking good and going fast is what the M-class is all about.  Send me an email if you would like to place an order.  See these kits fitted to a car here.
M-03 variable wheelbase conversion kit - £35
Although the M-chassis cars have 3 wheelbase tuning options via the chassis spacers, this is a coarse adjustment and still has its limits.  Even the short wheelbase chassis is too long to fit most of the V12 series bodies for Mardave cars (produced by Kamtec).  I thought it would be great if this huge range of interesting and cheap bodies could be used on the M-03 - this kit allows this.  At the shortest wheelbase setting, it is 8mm shorter than a stock M-03S.
Shortening the wheelbase makes the car quicker to react through tight corners.  In combination with the front suspension lowering kit, no stability is lost on the straighter sections.  Reversing the position of the outboard spacers returns the suspension to stock geometry, so there's no problem running Tamiya shells either.  You also have the advantage of huge strength from the alloy suspension components.  There are no screw-in hinge pins or e-clips.  All of the pins are retained with discreet grub screws making for a much neater and more convenient installation.

WHAT YOU GET:

Left and right rear lower wishbones
Tempered steel hinge pins (inboard and outboard) and retaining grub screws
±8mm wheelbase spacer
±8mm top link spacer and lengthened mounting screws
Shock mounting screws
M-03 front suspension lowering kit - £25
Lots of the aftermarket bodies available in the M-chassis size fit the wheelbase and track, but are too high under the bonnet to allow the shell to sit down.  This is certainly true of some of the Kamtec Mardave bodies (Calibra, Sierra Cosworth etc).  Using this conversion kit, and a Dremel or saw to cut off the stock plastic front shock towers, many of these bodies will fit the M-03 perfectly.
The new alloy shock tower is machined from solid 6082 billet.  You get 5 shock positions to aid in tuning, and fitting the body of your choice.  This is of course still fully compatible with any stock Tamiya body, and can be used as a valuable tuning aid.  All of the tuning positions are more laid down than standard, giving a rising rate suspension action.  This, together with the greater control you get over the ride height, massively limits body roll and improves lap times.  You can NOT fit the standard M-03 plastic bumper though.  This is the kit to go for if you want to turn your Mini from a fun toy into a serious race car - even if you don't want to run any of the aftermarket bodies.

WHAT YOU GET:

Billet aluminium shock tower
Lengthened upper and lower shock mounting stand-offs
Lengthened mounting screws
M-03 adjustable body post set - £25
There's a huge range of heights that need to be accommodated if you switch between saloon bodies (like the Kamtec V12 series) and the Tamiya Mini.  The stock posts don't have enough adjustment available.  This sliding post set fixes that.  The mounts are 6082 aluminium and the posts are linear fibre carbon rod.

WHAT YOU GET:

Billet aluminium post mounts
Carbon fibre body posts
M3 grub screws
